Take two: Meryl Streep has a chance to atone for Globes slip
Her acceptance speech at the Golden Globes included an unguarded expletive.
But Meryl Streep may have a chance to atone for her slip at Sunday's awards show if her BAFTA nomination for The Iron Lady translates into glory at the British ceremony.
The grande dame of Hollywood used a most unladylike expression after realising she didn't have her specs with her at the podium.
"I had such a good speech and I couldn't see it. Even if you held it in the front row, I couldn't read it because I left my glasses at the table."

Joining Meryl on the BAFTA shortlist is fellow Globe winner George Clooney, nominated for his turn in The Descendents.
Homegrown talent is represented by Dame Judi Dench, who is up for her supporting role in My Week With Marilyn.
Meanwhile, her co-star from the film, Michelle Williams, will take on mighty Meryl for best leading lady.
The results will be announced at a glittering ceremony at the Royal Opera House in London on February 12.
